History
The exciting new Theater Company, Bone Orchard, was founded by Artistic Director, Anna Jones, in New York in 2007. The Company is an innovative ensemble for emerging theater artists to work together on a project-by-project basis to workshop and experiment with original performance practices in spaces (traditional and site-specific) around the five boroughs.
Bone Orchard's inaugural piece, day lights the bone, directed by Jones, was performed at Red Shade Plaza in July 2007. It was presented by Chashama as part of the Summer on Hudson Festival.
In February 2008 Bone Orchard presented their first full length work, The Immediate Present, taking its audience on a journey through an old coffin factory. It was devised by the company and conceived and directed by Jones and Associate Artistic Director, Laura Jensen.
